Nepal Table Foosball Association Donates Foosball Tables to Centers in Pokhara and Bhairahawa under “100 Foosball Tables for Schools” Program

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Nepal Table Foosball Association, in collaboration with the International Table Soccer Federation, donated and installed Foosball (Table Soccer) tables at two special care centers: Shishu Bikash Kendra in Pokhara and Amarjyoti Boarding School in Bhairahawa. These donations were part of the program “100 Foosball Tables for Schools”, which aims to promote Foosball as a tool for engagement and development in educational and care settings across Nepal.

Foosball, also known as Table Soccer, is a tabletop game modeled after soccer, designed to foster focus, coordination, and team spirit. In recent years, it has gained recognition as an inclusive activity that promotes physical and mental development for individuals of all abilities.

The donation initiatives were made possible with support from Daraz Nepal, the leading e-commerce platform, which served as the shipment partner, and Sankata Club, Kathmandu, which provided training support. Mr. Umesh Ghimire, Founder and General Secretary of the Nepal Table Foosball Association, coordinated all aspects of the donation, including installation, orientation, and training activities.

“Foosball is more than just a game—it’s a tool for engagement, interaction, and skill development,” said Mr. Ghimire. “Through the ‘100 Foosball Tables for Schools’ program, we aim to bring this transformative activity to children across Nepal, helping improve their motor skills, social interactions, and confidence.”

In both centers, the training team from Sankata Club conducted orientation sessions for the caregivers and staff, equipping them with the knowledge to integrate Foosball into the daily routines of the children. The initiative aims to provide the children with a fun and therapeutic activity while fostering their holistic development in a supportive environment.

The staff of both centers warmly welcomed the donation. A representative from Shishu Bikash Kendra remarked, “This Foosball table will add a new dimension to our care methods. It’s a wonderful gift for our children.” Similarly, Amarjyoti Boarding School expressed gratitude, stating, “This contribution reflects the generosity and thoughtful support of the Nepal Table Foosball Association, and it will surely bring joy and growth opportunities for our children.”

The Nepal Table Foosball Association has been actively promoting Foosball across Nepal, particularly in engaging neurodivergent children for behavioral development. The “100 Foosball Tables for Schools” program, jointly implemented with the International Table Soccer Federation, aligns with the Association’s mission of inclusivity and empowerment through sport.

With these contributions, the Association reaffirms its commitment to making Foosball a transformative activity for all, bridging gaps and spreading smiles across communities.

The exposure to international play and the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s best players have been instrumental in shaping the future of foosball in Nepal. With numerous takeaways, these experiences have laid a strong foundation for the continued growth and development of the sport within the country, inspiring our federation to strive for excellence on the global stage.

ITSF Pro Tour Nepal- 2019

The 1st ITSF Pro Tour Nepal 2019 concluded with great success, marking a significant milestone in the country’s foosball community. Over three exhilarating days, the event brought together around 80 passionate players across 12 challenging disciplines, showcasing the growing talent and enthusiasm for the sport in Nepal. The tournament was particularly remarkable for its strong youth participation, highlighting the next generation’s dedication to foosball. With intense competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship at its core, the event not only celebrated the spirit of the game but also set a promising foundation for the future of foosball in Nepal. This event was just the beginning of many we are grateful from our heart to Samriddhi School for providing their unconditional support as well as all the supporters who supported us to make 1st ITSF PRO TOUR OF NEPAL 2019 a success. Congratulations all the players, officials, supporters and all the well wishers of Nepal Table Soccer and this beautiful game of Foosball for making our 1st ITSF Pro Tour Nepal 2019 a grand success.
